
Orien Contracts has attained an enviable record on occupational Health and Safety. We ensure that our Health and Safety policies are implemented througout the construction process.
A culture has been developed within the company ensuring that the Health, Safety and Welfare of the client, the public and Oriens employees are safegaurded at all times. We have an ongoing programme of formal Health and Safety training.
The Management have adopted a systematic approach to maintaining Safe and Healthy conditions for all persons who come into contact with the Company be they Clients, employees, sub-contractors, visitors or general public.
Achieving this goal has necessitated having in place systems for the assessment, control, monitoring and review of all aspects of Health and Safety.
The Directors use every endeavour to ensure that the Company continues to meet its legal and moral obligations through constant communication, consultation and involvement of all employees and those who may be affected by our activities.
The Health and Safety standards achieved are regularly reviewed to meet any changing legislation and requirements within the Company.
The Company will comply with the spirit, as well as the letter of environmental legislation and approved codes of practice and will co-operate fully and maintain open relationships with all regulatory authorities.
The Company will assess the environmental effects of its productions, projects, policies and operations, with a view to reducing and controlling environmental impact.
The Company will foster an understanding of the environmental issues arising from its business activities amongst its employees, suppliers, contractors, customers and also within the local community.
The Company’s aim is to indicate where appropriate action can be implemented to avoid, reduce or mitigate environmental problems and, where action can be taken, to bring about environmental gain.
Orien Contracts provides new build, refurbishment and fit out services to owners and occupiers of buildings. We operate under all forms of contract, and on projects from £10k upwards. We are continually committed to be at the forefront of the industry’s best practice.
In order to underpin this policy we have developed a set of processes and procedures contained in our quality management manual, the contents of which together with all relevant British Standards must be adhered to by all our staff.
